The Storm Whisperer

Storms rage. Seas rise.
Cold rain, wind, darkness,
Peril and piercing pain.
Storms of money,
Not enough, or sometimes, too much.
Storms of illness,
Addiction,
Conflict,
Isolation,
Oppression.
We cry out to Him.
He whispers, “Peace, be still.”
Then, peace in the wind and rain.
Light in the darkness.
Tempests rage around us,
He calms the gales within
Our hearts.
We can weather the storm,
And come into new light.
